Wealth-Y
An AI financial assistant that connects to your bank accounts and answers your money questions in plain English.

What it is
Wealth-Y is an AI financial assistant that connects to your real bank accounts, credit cards, and investments — then answers your money questions in plain English. Ask "Where did my money go this month?" or "Can I afford this vacation?" and get a personalized answer based on your actual finances, not generic advice.
Why I built it
Financial information is accurate but inaccessible. People have balances, transactions, and investment data scattered across multiple institutions, and the tools to make sense of it all are either too complex (spreadsheets, financial planners) or too generic (articles, calculators). I wanted something that met people where they are — a chat interface that already knows your financial picture and can answer the specific questions you have right now.
How it works
Connect once. Link your bank accounts, credit cards, and investments through Plaid in a few minutes. Wealth-Y sees your full financial picture from one connection.
Ask anything. Type questions in natural language. "What did I spend on dining last month?" "How much do I have in savings vs investments?" "What's my net worth?" The AI understands context across accounts and over time.
Get personalized answers. Every response is grounded in your actual data. Wealth-Y runs deterministic math on your real transactions and balances — no hallucinations, no generic advice.
Key features
Personalized memory — Wealth-Y remembers context across your conversation. It knows which accounts you have, your recurring expenses, and the questions you've already asked, so follow-ups feel natural.
Deterministic math layer — Financial questions require precise answers. Wealth-Y uses a structured math analysis layer for calculations like spending totals, category breakdowns, balance changes, and net worth — all computed from your real transaction data, not estimated.
Data queries — The system can query your actual financial data across accounts: transaction history, spending patterns, balance trends, and investment positions. Queries are scoped to your connected accounts and respect your privacy.
Context-aware accounts — Wealth-Y understands the difference between a checking account, a credit card, and an investment portfolio. It can explain what each account is doing and how they relate to your broader financial picture.
Secure by design — All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Connections use token-based authentication through Plaid. Your financial data belongs to you and is never shared.
